A campaign that attracted Slovaks back home

According to estimates, approximately 300,000 people have left Slovakia in the past 15 years. But Slovakia is changing for the better. The non-profit organization LEAF, which helps young people in their personal development, joined forces with partners from the world of business and public administration to show through our campaign that they can also grow professionally at home in Slovakia.

The Vráťsa.sk initiative is a long-term project that we started with an emotional communication campaign. We involved well-known and lesser-known people who returned from abroad or stayed at home to help Slovakia improve and we filmed their stories.

A guide for returning

Thanks to our partners, we posted hundreds of job listings for returnees on the Vratsa.sk website. These jobs were offered by the private sector, the government, and non-profit organisations. We also provided a practical repatriation guide and a fact sheet on sectors in the labour market in Slovakia.

During the first month, 60 companies joined the initiative, offering a total of more than 110 positions.

The campaign took place mainly on social networks, but also in mainstream media where Slovaks living abroad get most of their information from.
